Biography

Sandra Ono received her MFA from Mills College, following undergraduate studies at University of California, Davis and Imperial College, London. Ono's work has been exhibited at Bibeau Krueger, New York, NY; San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art, San Jose, CA; Mills College Art Museum, Oakland, CA; Et al, San Francisco, CA; Southern Exposure, San Francisco, CA; Berkeley Art Center, Berkeley, CA;  St. Joseph’s Arts Foundation, San Francisco, CA; Sonoma Valley Museum of Art, Sonoma, CA; Headlands Center for the Arts, Sausalito, CA; among others. She has completed residencies at lower_cavity, Holyoke, MA; University of Texas at Dallas, Dallas, TX; Southern Exposure, San Francisco, CA; Headlands Center for the Arts, Sausalito, CA; Vermont Studio Center, Burlington, VT; Winslow House, Vallejo, CA; Mascot Studio, Berkeley/Los Angeles, CA; Minnesota Street Project as a recipient of the TOSA Studio Award, San Francisco, CA; and Kala Art Institute as a recipient of the Kala Fellowship Award, Berkeley, CA.
